I needed to be able to install 'Microsoft XPS Document Writer' for proper Revit Benchmark (RFO Benchmark)

Original Source:

Press the Windows key and type "Printers & scanners" and click on it to open.

  1. Click on "+ Add a printer or scanner" at the top of the page.

  2. After it searches for a bit, click on "The printer that I want isn't listed."

  3. In the new window that pops up, choose "Add a local printer or network printer with manual settings" and then click "Next."

  4. Choose "PORTPROMPT:" (Local Port) from the drop-down menu and click "Next."

  5. In the "Install the printer driver" page, choose "Microsoft" under "Manufacturer,".

  6. Choose "Windows Update" as "Microsoft XPS Document Writer v4" is not listed under "Printers".

  7. Choose "Windows Update" and wait several minutes. (Maybe some more...)

  8. Then, "Microsoft XPS Document Writer v4" will be under "Printers", then click "Next."

  9. Choose "Use the driver that is currently installed (recommended)" and click "Next."

  10. Enter a name for the printer if you wish, or leave it as the default, and then click "Next."

  11. Choose whether you want to share the printer or not, and click "Next."

  12. Decide if you want to print a test page (not necessary, but can be helpful to make sure everything is working correctly), and click "Finish."
